Glendun Supports Breakthrough T1D at VE Group Charity Lunch

Glendun Group was proud to join VE Group’s 2025 Charity Long Lunch as a Gold Sponsor, helping raise over $385,000 in support of Breakthrough T1D Australia. The charity funds critical research and resources to support people living with Type 1 Diabetes.

Held at Howard Smith Wharves in Brisbane, the event brought together leaders from across the civil, transport, and infrastructure sectors with a shared goal to improve outcomes for those managing the condition and to support the path toward a cure.

Breakthrough T1D Australia is advancing new therapies, technologies, and support systems to keep people living with T1D as healthy as possible while pursuing long-term medical breakthroughs.

The day featured powerful and personal stories from guest speakers including Dr Dorota Pawlak, NRL great Steve Renouf, and Elise Howell, who shared her experience growing up with Type 1 Diabetes. The auction and raffle raised significant funds, with standout moments like the spirited bidding for the iconic T1D Barbie.

As a Gold Sponsor, Glendun stood alongside others in the industry to contribute to a meaningful result that reflects genuine leadership and community support.

“We’re proud to be part of an industry that steps up and gives back,” said Glendun Managing Director Cahal Carey. “Leadership is not just about performance on site. It’s about what we support beyond it.”

Congratulations to the VE Group team for delivering an outstanding event. Glendun is committed to supporting future initiatives that create real impact.
